Seven businesses were targeted in the spree, according to Anne Arundel County Police:

The crimes unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on Dec.19, when officers responding to a burglary at King’s Cleaners found another neighboring business broken into, police said.

Shortly after, an officer spotted a matching vehicle on Quarterfield Road near Parke West Drive in Glen Burnie, investigators said, though when officers attempted to stop the Charger, the driver sped off, initiating a pursuit that stretched across multiple highways, including I-97, MD 100, and Route 295, police said.

The chase ended in Prince George’s County when the suspect’s vehicle became disabled near Powder Mill Road.

Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot, but after a brief chase, officers apprehended Walton. Two others got away.

Police discovered the Dodge Charger was stolen, with plates from another stolen vehicle, officials said, and inside the car, officers recovered a stolen .45 caliber Glock model 21 handgun.

Walton, prohibited from possessing firearms, now faces multiple charges, police said.
